# Terms of use.

These terms describe use of OffLingua, provided by R&D COPILOT SRL. App Store purchases are also subject to Apple’s applicable store terms.

## Acceptance and service

By downloading, installing or using OffLingua, you agree to these terms and the applicable Gemma terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

OffLingua provides AI translation with text, photo and voice input. The downloaded translation model runs on your device. Voice recognition can require Apple’s servers depending on the language and device.

## Purchase and compatibility

The App Store provides current prices, availability and compatibility requirements for your region. Purchase, installation and billing are handled through Apple.

A model download is needed before offline translation. Performance, recognition and translation quality vary by input, language and device.

## Gemma model terms

The translation model is provided under and subject to the Gemma Terms of Use and the Gemma Prohibited Use Policy. You must comply with those terms and applicable laws.

The linked Google terms govern the model and its use. This website does not imply Google endorsement or replace those terms.

## Permitted and prohibited use

You may use the app for personal translation, travel, communication, learning and general reference, subject to these terms.

Do not use it unlawfully, for prohibited harmful activities, or for legal, medical or safety-critical translations without professional verification. Do not reverse engineer or extract the app or model except where applicable law or the relevant license permits it.

## Translation limitations and warranties

The app and translations are provided as is, without a guarantee of accuracy or suitability for a particular purpose, to the extent permitted by law.

Do not rely on unverified translations for legal documents, medical instructions, emergencies or official proceedings. Mandatory consumer rights are not excluded by these terms.

## Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, R&D COPILOT SRL is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from use of the app, including inaccurate translations.

Nothing in these terms limits liability or rights that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

## Open-source components

OffLingua uses llama.cpp and llama.swift under their applicable MIT licenses, and TranslateGemma under the applicable Gemma terms. Their notices and licenses continue to apply.

## Changes and governing law

Updated terms are published on this page. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by applicable law.

These terms are governed by Romanian law. Disputes are subject to the courts of Iași, Romania, without limiting mandatory protections or jurisdiction rights available to consumers.
